Storyteller First, Musician Second
I believe music is more than sound—it's a storytelling force. Whether in film or concert, my goal is to transport audiences into new worlds, shaping emotions through every note. From a young age, I was captivated by film scores, especially John Powell’s work in How to Train Your Dragon, which immersed me in the world on screen. His ability to tell stories through music has deeply influenced my own approach—not just as a composer, but as a storyteller. From epic, lush orchestrations to raw, intimate moments, my creative process is driven by a desire to transport listeners to worlds beyond imagination.
My Life
I grew up in the small town of Moundsville, West Virginia. I spent hours watching movies and was deeply inspired by their music and the emotions it brought out in me. By the time I was 7, I started trying to create that same feeling through music myself. From not knowing a single thing about music to eventually studying composition at West Virginia University, I have found a true love in not just writing music, but learning the craft as well.

What Kind of Music?
I’m inspired by composers like John Powell, John Williams, and Hans Zimmer. Most of my work has been with orchestral and orchestral hybrid music, whether for concerts or film scores. As a percussionist, I’ve also written music for small groups with percussion and strings, and I’m always exploring new styles and ideas.
